On trophy quality, lion are the typical Selous type, big bodied but less mane compared to western and Masailand ones. Some exceptionally good ones have been taken and the chances are 50%-70%. The leopard trophy is of very good size as there is plenty of food around (over 80% chance), while elephants taken are over 5 ft 10 inches in length with weight average 30 lbs.

The beauty of the Selous lies in its' real wilderness, plenty of game around makes it an excellent place for those wanting to see the real old Africa. The experience one gets from hunting there is just unique, it's really wonderful for family safaris. One could do some tiger fishing as the camps are all located along the Ruaha and Kilombero rivers.
