Mountain Lion - BC

The Mountain Lion (or Cougar) is the largest wild cat native to British Columbia. The cougar occurs in BC from the Canada/USA border to Big Muddy River on the Alaska Highway. Although they have not yet reached the Queen Charlotte Islands, they can be found on most other coastal islands. This animal is found only in the western hemisphere of the Americas generally in mountainous areas.

It is very important that the outfitter has good dogs and an area where the deer conjugate in the winter. These area should have access to the high country in case snow falls are low. Mountain Lion can be hunted as a single species or on a combo hunt with Lynx and Bobcat.

BC Outfitters works with several outfitters throughout British Columbia that provide a quality hunt for big Toms.
